RIS Log-In &
Access Questions
Q: I received the
"Login successful" message and clicked the "Continue"
button, but I don't see "Regulation Information System" in red or my
agency name. Now what?
Q: I see my agency
name under the red "Regulation Information System" heading, but when
I click on my agency's name, I get a blank screen. Now what?
A: In either case
above, first make sure you are using Internet Explorer and not Google Chrome,
Mozilla Firefox, etc.
Next, check your
"Trusted Sites" settings, which may have changed due to an upgrade or
other administrator adjustments. Follow
the instructions below:

Settings in Internet Explorer

In the IE
toolbar, click on "Tools" and then "Internet Options" to
open the Internet Options dialogue box. OR At the
bottom of the IE window, double click on "Internet" (look for the
picture of the world) to open the Internet Options dialogue box. |

Click on
the "Security" tab at the top of the box.
with
"Trusted sites" (the green check mark) as the selected zone. (If not, click on "Trusted
sites" to select that zone.) Click on
the "Sites" button to open the "Trusted sites" dialogue
box. If
"Sites" is not available, you will have to contact your system
administrator. |

Look in
the white "Websites:" box for these web addresses: http://services.dlas.virginia.gov Add any
missing address, as follows: v Uncheck the box for "Require
server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" v Put the address in the box under
"Add this website to the zone" v Click the "Add" button Repeat
this process for each web address. Leave the
"Require server verification" box blank. Click
"Close" to return to Internet Options dialogue box. |

In the
Internet Options box, click on "Custom Level" button to open the
Security Settings - Trusted Sites Zone dialogue box. Scroll
down to "Miscellaneous" and look at "Access data sources
across domains." Make sure that "Enable" is selected (has a
dot in the circle).
Click
"OK" button to close box. Click
"OK" button to close "Internet Options" box. Log back
into RIS and you should be able to access your agency's projects. If you
