When I use the "Search" feature
on your website, I get a Google results page. Where is
the "Search" feature looking
for results?
The Search Feature on the General
Assembly Website is searching all legislative agencies' websites
in order to provide you with the best search results for your
keywords. The relevant websites are
"crawled" daily so that we can provide you with the
most current information related to them.
I'm looking for content related to
certain Bills and/or legislation, but can't seem to find
what I need using the "Search" feature your website. What
is the best way to search for this type of material?
For the ability to search very specific legislation a certain
way, ex. (searching across sessions, or by type of
legislation - introduced, engrossed, etc.), it is best to use
the searchable features on the Legislative
Information System of Virginia website. This website has
various features which provide better content for those looking
for very specific legislation.
For other help using the "Search" feature on the General Assembly
website, searching for other information, or using the website
in general, please see our Live Help page.
